Hi. I’m Andrea Walker Morris

Therapy rooted in relationship, experience, and respect

If you’re feeling worn down, confused, overwhelmed, or stuck, you’re not broken. The ways we adapt to stress, trauma, and difficult relationships often make sense given what we’ve lived through. Shame and fear can distort how we see ourselves, but our struggles are only parts of our story — not the whole of it.

Therapy can help when trauma symptoms, grief, anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, low self-confidence, or long-standing patterns begin to interfere with daily life. I work especially well with adults who are looking to go beyond typical talk therapy; particularly those who have felt unsuccessful or stuck in therapy in the past.

I believe that lived experience is vital in a provider - as long as that provider is actively doing their own healing work. It may feel important for you to know that I am:

  • a parent

  • a partner

  • a person in long-term recovery and an Adult Child of Alcoholism/Dysfunction

  • LBGTQ+ and an ally

  • a person with a physical difference/disability

  • a combat veteran spouse

  • neurodivergent

  • actively growing through my own complex and event trauma

Since 2015, I’ve helped clients access their strengths, regulate stress, and build resilience through life’s challenges.

My Approach

Living room with a green couch, a white armchair, a coffee table, wall art, a window with blinds, and a lamp in the corner.
Indoor reception area with white modern lounge chair, a wooden table with toys, and a textured green sideboard with decorative items and a potted plant. The wall has framed artwork and a round clock. There is a door with a mirror and folder frames, and recessed ceiling lights.

I draw from both my professional training and lived experience - and my (sometimes dark) sense of humor. My own experiences have deeply shaped my understanding of resilience, identity, and what it means to live in a world that isn’t always built for difference. Because of this, I am especially attuned to the experiences of those who are—or who feel—outside the norm, including individuals with disabilities and those who have spent a lifetime adapting, masking, or pushing through.

My commitment to this work also runs deep in my family lineage, and advocacy, inclusion, and respect for difference have always been part of my world. Supporting people in reclaiming their voice, worth, and agency feels not only like a calling, but a birthright.

I work with adults—many of them professionals—who appear capable on the outside but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or just “different”. My clients often carry the long-term effects of trauma, attachment wounds (including the mother/father wound), anxiety, or the quiet exhaustion that comes from navigating life transitions while holding it all together. Many are seeking a deeper sense of belonging, safety, and authenticity—within themselves and in their relationships.

My therapeutic approach is relational, trauma-responsive, and grounded in nervous system awareness. I believe healing happens through safety, attunement, and felt experience—not just insight. I offer traditional psychotherapy alongside Equine-assisted Psychotherapy, Brainspotting intensives, and wellness retreats, allowing us to work both cognitively and somatically. Whether in the therapy room or alongside horses in nature, my role is to walk with you as you reconnect with your innate strength, clarity, and capacity for meaningful change.

What Our Work Together May Include

Our sessions focus on building awareness, regulation, and capacity — not just understanding what’s happening, but learning how to respond differently over time.

I often incorporate:

  • Trauma-responsive, neurobiologically informed therapy

  • Somatic and mind-body approaches

  • Brainspotting as a safe, effective modality

  • Exploration of family systems and relational patterns

  • Practical tools for resilience and nervous system regulation

I also draw from my lived experience with recovery and family systems, and I approach our work together with humility. I never ask clients to do anything I’m not willing to do myself. I continue to expand my training and knowledge so I can offer care that is thoughtful, ethical, and current.

A Collaborative Relationship

I specialize in helping clients discover and harness their strengths, navigate daily challenges, and move through trauma and grief with greater steadiness. Therapy is not about fixing what’s “wrong,” but about creating space for growth, self-trust, and forward movement — at a pace that feels respectful and supportive.
