Families therapy for what keeps everyone stuck
If the same tension keeps showing up at home, we can work with that together. We help families slow down, notice the pattern, and make room for each person’s experience.

What people bring us
Families often come in when communication has started to feel tense, repetitive, or shut down. One person may feel unheard, another may feel blamed, and everyone may be trying to get through the day without making things worse. We look at how the pattern works across the family, not just at one person’s behavior. Sometimes the first step is simply making space for everyone to be heard.
- We keep ending up in the same argument.
- No one seems to hear anyone else.
- I feel like I’m walking on eggshells.
- We are all reacting to each other all the time.
How we work with it
With families, we pay close attention to roles, repeated reactions, and the moments when things escalate or shut down. We may slow a conversation, reflect what we notice, or bring in body awareness when stress is showing up physically in the room. When needed, we help make room for different viewpoints without losing sight of the shared pattern. The work is about understanding the family system as it is lived, not just as it is described.
- Somatic Therapy
- We may notice how family tension shows up in posture, tone, or movement. That can help everyone see the pattern before it escalates further.
- Neurocounseling
- We pay attention to stress responses that can shape how each person reacts in the family. This can help explain why people seem to move into the same roles again and again.
- Brainspotting
- If a family issue is tied to something hard to say directly, we may use a more focused approach when it fits. That keeps the work connected to what is being felt, not just what is being argued.
What the first sessions look like
In the first sessions, we talk about what is going on, who is involved, and what each person hopes will be different about the way you work together. We also notice how the family interacts in the room and what feels easiest or hardest to say. No one needs to have the whole thing sorted out before starting.
We offer a free 15-minute consultation. We respond as soon as we can.
We pay attention to the pattern between people, not just who is right.
Questions people ask
Can families come in even if only one person is worried?
Yes. A family can start with what is most pressing, even if everyone sees it differently.
Do you work with parents and children together?
We work with families, so the setup depends on who is part of the work and what is needed in the room.
What if our family can’t agree on the problem?
That happens often. We can still begin by listening to each person’s experience.
Will you tell US who is causing the issue?
No. We focus on the pattern and how it keeps happening between people.
