Individuals therapy for your own pace and priorities
If you want space that is just for you, we can begin there. We work with individuals who want support for what they are carrying, what keeps repeating, or what feels hard to sort out alone.
What people bring us
People come as individuals for many reasons: stress that is piling up, old hurt that keeps showing up, or a sense that they are not quite themselves. Sometimes the issue is clear; sometimes it is more of a feeling that life has narrowed around coping. We use the first sessions to understand what matters most to you and how you want to begin.
- I’m holding a lot and I need space to sort it out.
- I keep coping, but I feel worn down.
- I want to understand why I react the way I do.
- I’m ready to talk about things I usually keep to myself.
How we work with it
With individual work, we can stay closely focused on your own patterns, feelings, and responses. Depending on what you bring, we may keep the work talk-based or bring in body awareness, experiential methods, or focused attention. Because it is just one person in the room, there is room to move at the pace that fits you. We stay attentive to what is happening now, not just what you have already figured out.
- Somatic Therapy
- We may use body awareness when your experience lives more in tension, shutdown, or activation than in words. That can help us work with what is present in the room.
- Neurocounseling
- We use nervous-system language to understand your reactions and coping patterns. This can give us a clearer picture of what gets activated and why.
- Brainspotting
- If something feels hard to reach directly, we may use a focused process that lets the work unfold with less pressure to explain everything.
What the first sessions look like
The first sessions are about getting to know what you want help with and how you prefer to work. We talk through what feels most important, what you hope to understand, and which approaches seem like a fit. You do not need to have a polished story ready.
We offer a free 15-minute consultation. We respond as soon as we can.
We make room for experience, not just explanation.
Questions people ask
Do individuals come in for more than trauma or anxiety?
Yes. People also come in for relationship concerns, stress, and feeling stuck in patterns they want to understand.
What if I’m not sure what I need?
That is okay. We can begin with what feels most pressing and sort through it together.
Can individual therapy include body-based work?
Yes. We can include somatic or other experiential approaches when they fit what you are bringing in.
Is this just for adults?
This page is for individual work with adults. If another kind of support fits better, we can look at that too.
